Updating a Beach

One of the most important features within BeachBums is that our platform allows users, such as yourself, to update your favorite beach with the most current information.

In order to update a beach, you must be located within 1 mile of the beach you want to update. When you are in close enough proximity to the beach you want to update, then you have the ability to update the current conditions. 

Process for updating a beach:

1. Go to the beach you want to update
2. Find the beach you are at in BeachBums.
3. Click on the "Update" button (refer to the screenshot on the right for location).
4. Update the information which should take no longer than 30 seconds.
5. When you are finished click "Done". 

You're changes should appear automatically within the app.

Local Tips

Local tips can also be updated if you are at the beach. You follow the same process as the above to access this information. Note that you don't have to remove the tips that are already there in order to add information.
