Beach Discovery Process

You can start the beach discovery process by clicking the + sign in the upper right hand corner in either the Explore page or in My Beaches.

The first page will prompt you to enter the name of the beach you are looking to add, a location (we'll cover that next), and a description. The description is where you include any details about the beach that might be useful. You can also add up to five pictures to any beach.

When adding a beach location you have two options: use your current location or other location. Choosing current location will drop a pin in your exact location. Other location allows you to place a pin in the correct area. 

We want you to put the pin the closest parking lot (if there is one) for the beach. If there is no parking lot then put it at the beach access point.

The next step will ask you about how things are at the beach currently (parking, beach crowd, flag, etc...). 

Then you will be prompted to add information about the beach the never changes. We ask that you be as accurate as possible, and if you don't know then check that response.

Once you've added as much information as you can, click the add button. Your beach won't immediately appear on the app because it must be verified before being approved. This process typically takes 24-48 hours.
